Hi our babies are now 4 weeks old, as we are kinda new at this could anyone give us any helpful tips on telling a boy from a girl!

our 3 agoutis were sexed as 2 girls and the smaller one is meant to be a boy my husband thought this and then the vet thought the same

Any tips to make sure we get the sexes right on the bunnies would be majorly appreciated as before this we have only had 3 babies and we got 2 of them wrong!! the third one was right but we got 2 other people to check it when they saw it

Please help!!

Make sure you are pulling the genitals open enough for the penis or vagina to be fully exposed.

A little boy will have a perfect little "o" shape (a doughnut), and a girl will have a tear drop or taco shape.

You have to have good light and good eye sight!! It also helps to look at a full grown female, as the little girls will be the same but much smaller. If you can also compare babies that you know are boy/girl and see the differences.

Also spread the fur towards the front and back, not side to side If you see a circle then it is a boy. Anything that looks like a line or taco is a girl. ometimes the parts are too small to tell, try again in a few days or so.
