Am I able to change out the nest box for my rabbits kits? They are currently 5 days old, there is 6 of them. I'm worried that the bedding may be a little too dirty for babies to be laying in there. Is it safe to change this early?

I would just replace soiled bedding, that's no problem. It might be a good idea to not do it in front of the doe, most don't really care but some get quite worried and agitated, you can take the nestbox out for cleaning.

Be careful when handling the kits if you are not used to it, do it on the floor or somewhere where they drop soft and not far when one squirms out of your hands - they are good at that. Don't be shocked when one starts screaming, some do that easily.

Should I keep the nest as it is and replace everything around it or replace the entire cage and build a new nest?

I just replace soiled stuff. Keep all fur that is fairly dry.

What type of nestbox do you use?
