Hi everyone. My name is Joey. I sustained an injury at the hand of my
careless human companion. I was sad because instead to taking me to the
vet, he turned me over the the shelter. I tried to hide my injury and
act like a playful bunny, but the right leg was too painful for me to
stand on. I was scheduled to be euthanized in a few hours when a
volunteer noticed me favoring my leg and asked SaveABunny to take me
in. I was saved and am currently being cared by my foster family. My
foster mom took me to the vet who xrayed the leg. I have a fracture and
need surgery to avoid a life-time of pain and future arthritis. The
surgery is going to cost $1500 to pin and wire my fractured leg. Any
help would be appreciated. I'm a playful, curoious rabbit ready to
bounce my way into your life, once my leg has healed.

If you know anyone who works for Starbucks and volunteers for your rescue - If they apply for something called "Individual Make Your Mark", Starbucks grants the rescue $10 for every hour you do.

I know it's a little late =[ But how about fundraising? We have something similar at my rescue called "The Broken Bunny Fund", it started when we found four baby siblings in a dumpster. Two had badly broken legs - one of the bunny's had her knee broken.

A lot of the money came from an event we had called "Rabbit Festival". We got the best rabbit savvy vet in town to volunteer, and people had to pay a minimum donation of $5 to have their rabbit checked out by her. There was a HUGE line for 4 hours. We also had Isabelle out (The baby with the broken knee), when people saw her leg - there was a lot of money donated as well.
