Just introducing myself and my bunny, Barley. Barley was rabbit-napped from the local university grounds 3 years ago when my daughter was attending classes. This little baby black bunny was apparently following my daughter around on lunch break and between classes so she simply bent over and picked him up one day, THEN texted me to ask 'if she could catch a baby bunny, could she bring it home?' Thinking she'd never catch one, I said yes, and since then we've been learning all about rabbits!
Our first order of business was to get him checked over by a vet who thought he was in good health, no fleas or other issues, and roughly two months old but he wouldn't neuter/spay "it" until it weighed a kilogram, so we took him home and fed him for a month and took him back. It was determined that he was indeed a "he" and the following week, he was neutered. In the course of his first year, he litter-trained himself and grew to be a sleek, glossy, velvety black beauty with a sweet temperament and goofy sense of humour!
For myself, I'm a mother of two grown children, married almost 29 years, am caring for my 94 year-old Mom who has COPD, and my only other pet is an 8 year-old parrotlet who is actually Mom's but is now under my wing, so to speak. I also enjoy portrait drawing, some watercolour painting, reading British murder mysteries on my Kindle and a few tv shows.
