I love bunnies, I always have. I currently have 11 rabbits. The first of this bunch Sparrow I rescued from a pet store in 2006. She is blind in one eye and they were going to kill her and sell her for snake food! She is my "special" bunny and holds the closest place in my heart. She cuddles for hours. She is a black holland lop. Back then I didn't know allot about rabbits and I let her "play" with Butters a lionhead I had back then and she had 4 babies. I kept two boys Kit Kat and Chub Chub. A year later I got a job at a vets office that works with a shelter. And one day Tinkerbell came into my work. Where I live we have a park where people let rabbits go when they don't want them anymore. They have babies, and Tinkerbell came from there. She was found at the side of the road being attacked by crows, luckly she has no wounds from them, but she had severe road rash on her leg where there was kn skin left on her hind leg. After the sx I just had to take her home. I later paired her with Chub Chub :) I thought maybe Kit Kat might want a friens so we took him to the shelter and he liked Cinderella. A few months later Cinderella's sister came in for a spay, no one had taken her, and I felt bad to I brought her home lol Last summer the shelter brought in another baby from the side of the road with a bloated belly. We thought he might not make it, but sure enough Peanut was fine, and I later got Daisy to live with him. Last fall Skitter came in from the shelter so obese with poop stuck to her bottom, and a volunteer at the shelter tried to remove it and ripped her skin. She is a nasty girl, but I can see past that and brought her home (I didn't think she should spend her whole life there just cuz she is misunderstood). This winter Nala came in as a transfer from the emergency hospital. She was a rabbit from that park and she was hit by a car. She was pregnant with 3 babies. She had the babies that day and I took her home. The babies died a day later so I had her spayed that day and we found her uterus had ruptured! She has glaucoma which I had treated at the eye specialist last month and she has made a full recovery and loves the houses rabbit life :) I promised my bf no more lol but last week Thumper came into my work for euthanasia. He is another rabbit from that park and has severe head wounds and a head tilt he is only a few weeks old so I'm not sure if he is really a he yet lol. I couldn't give up on him with out trying so I took him! And over this week he has perked up with love and force feedings, and has started eating on his own. If he does make it though the infections he will be rabbit number 11, and my last for a while lol

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Thank you for taking in the bunny's. They know what it is like to be really loved and spoiled.

Many bunny's recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.
