I am Shawnna and my husband Larry and I have had house bunnies for over 15 years. We recently lost our lil bun D'jango, he was 7. Our other bunny Sunday is going to be 12 next April. Both our boys were rescues. Sunday came from a woman whose cat brought two very small baby bunnies home. He was about 3 weeks old, so small a tissue box was his house. I kept him warm by keeping him inside my shirt day and night for a bit over a month. Not being around other bunnies, he never understood(ha I think) he was a bunny and not a human, wanting to do what we did and eat food we did. When he was around 2 we decided maybe a spayed(he is neutered) female would be okay to to slowly introduced to one another. I found a gorgeous female rex at the local college where they were having a rabbit sale. We brought her home, and because our rabbits have never known a cage(except this female) I used tall lattice panels to section off our family room so they were not together but could see and smell each other. We named her Mazy Dukes. For a few weeks we kept them apart. Sunday did not know what to think about her Jealous for a bit, when I went in with her, he would glare at me thru the lattice. Sunday never learned rabbit behaviors, ie washing his ears etc. One day I saw him sitting looking at her washing her ears and he starting doing the same thing for the very first time!
We decided to allow them to meet for the first time. Bad idea. Mazy was so excited to see him, it scared him to death. He ran into our room to hide. So we decided to each hold one and sit across from each other. He wanted nothing to do with her. Tried again the next day and he attacked her and bit her side so hard it ripped it open. Everything we tried to do with him never worked. Any rabbit he came into contact with he would go after. Long story but a few years later we came home and found Mazy dead. We dont know why.
Along comes Django from a friend who found him in her yard under a bush, about 3-4 wks old. He was a super small bunny with the cutest tiny ears! Unfortunately last week, I went to go clean his water out and give him fresh hay and I noticed he was having a seizure. I picked him up and held him and it was not looking good. Hubby started phoning vets but none take emergency rabbits. By the time we found one 30 min away he had passed away. I am completely devastated. He was such a good sweet boy! Never chewed on anything but his box he liked, went potty anywhere but his potty box, loved to cuddle and give bunny kisses. I do not know why he had a seizure. Had eaten nothing new.

So these are my babies. They are my kids and I dont tolerate anyone joking about rabbit for dinner etc from friends or family. Mazy is the broken back rex, big black is Sunday and the small black D'jango13245456_1784610011771395_2968585379970628183_n.jpg13263960_1784609095104820_446516405455003963_n.jpg103065165_2757388837826836_8065469334529164395_o.jpgBUNS.JPGCapture.JPGIMG_20181103_145909.jpgIMG_20190613_192200.jpg11427715_1655326464699751_5352690913216701462_n.jpg13245456_1784610011771395_2968585379970628183_n.jpg13263960_1784609095104820_446516405455003963_n.jpg103065165_2757388837826836_8065469334529164395_o.jpgBUNS.JPGCapture.JPGIMG_20181103_145909.jpgIMG_20190613_192200.jpg11427715_1655326464699751_5352690913216701462_n.jpg1488130_1431550547077345_1450508647_n.jpg1526993_1431550150410718_1208187083_n.jpg

If you copy and paste, and then also click the thumbnail or full image option it will add an extra photo. Normally I don't click either of the options because it makes it more confusing.1601952895021.png
