Hello. I am a newer bunny owner. We recently took on a rescue that's believed to be a buck, but we are still waiting for his "pom poms" to drop. I've had him for two days and keep looking at him swearing he has a dewlap. He's crazy hyper and too busy for me to get a picture except for when he jumps in the cage to rest...even then, my pictures leave a lot to be desired...any thoughts?

Where did you get him? Rabbit rescues typically neuter or spay any rabbit before allowing it to be adopted. Shelters...not so much.

I actually got him from a rescue that is going to do that for me as soon as he/she is ready...he was just young and I told them I didn't mind keeping him until then. The rescue is thinking about 5 months?

Looks female to me, you could take him/her to a vet to double check?

It looks like a doe? But idk for sure its hard to tell when I don't have the bunny physically in my hands. If if were a buck there would be a round hole for the penis, and if it were a doe it would be a slit. Make sure you are looking at the right hole too! Hope this helped
