so, Rori's first hay rack was a small metal cabinet organizer (like for holding flavor packets, such as taco flavoring, or kool-aid ), her next one was a metal cabinet organizer-exactly this one

But she couldn't get the hay out fast enough and would get frustrated. So I switched to this type of item

I guess I'm just wondering what you guys use

Is the crate working for you? Some rabbits may decide to use a hay-filled crate or basket for a litter box.

I put hay directly in my rabbit's litter box and refresh the hay twice per day. It works great for me. (They won't eat soiled hay. )

I once had some hay sitting in this milk crate outside and a windstorm was heading our way. I brought the crate in temporarily and my rabbit took no time to hop right in. :)

it sort of does. It's smallish, but I don't want it to take up too much space in her cage. It has a largish gap in the bottom that lets more hay fall through than I would like. She loves to throw it around, which drives my BF nuts but it makes me laugh! Outside her cage she has a cement mixing tub filled with hay.
