Hay for buns!

I don't feed my buns hay... Never have. But I have read on it a lot and everything says that you need to feed your rabbits some sort of hay. So I'm going to start doing this. Where can I find the cheapest hay? Can I just get bales from a farm?

As long as the hay is horse quality it's okay for rabbits. We buy square bales and store it in a big bin to keep it dry.

Unless your rabbits are under 6 months, you will want to avoid alfalfa hay (it is actually a legume and not a grass, so it is too rich for adults). Any grass type hay is good -- timothy, Bermuda, orchard, oat...

I buy hay by the bale at a feed store. It is very cheap and lasts forever (stored properly).
