My Bunny makes a grinding noise when he is lay down with me getting stroked. Is this ok?

I think it's tooth purring. It means he is content and happy.

Ah really? Thank you, thats lovely to know!

Yes, tooth purring! When they're content, they'll lightly grind their teeth together, making that slight grinding noise. Only something to be worried about if the grinding is significantly louder, or if the bun is giving off any other signs that it might be in pain (like squinting his eyes, or fidgeting a lot to try and get comfortable).

I'm so happy my bunny is happy x

If you can hear the grinding from across the room, that's likely a painful grinding. If he's doing it while he's petting you and you can feel it more than you can hear it, that's a pleasant tooth purr.

I love it when they do that, it's not very loud indeed, but you can feel it through their skull :)
