Just have to say i bought a new bunny house for my Giants

It arrived in 2 days - free delivery - they love it.Ivecustomised it inside so they can sit in the windows and lookout. It so much better than a hutch and look a lot tidiertoo.I will post pics of it and my buns laid in the windows ( which areperspex not glass).

Just thought i'd mention it if anyone in the UK is thinking about getting a new Hutch .

What a great idea! A children's playhouse as a "hutch"!

    Nice one.

Our Bunnies live in a playhouse too! It works really well, they have so much space! And it's quite easy to add a second floor:D

    Hey kat70,

Just searching the forum for hutch ideas and came across your awesome idea lol. So I was thinking I might do the same, for £160 the below site has a bunny playhouse that looks like it might be a good fit.

Just a quick question, how have you found using a playhouse as a hutch? Is it just a novelty thats totally impractical or is it actually fairly practical.

    Thanks.

The one I saw there for 160 appears to be just 4 x 4. If that is 4 feet square (16 square feet) that is too small for total permanent space.
You may want to look at this link that shows bad examples of outdoor hutches so that you know what to avoid:
    http://pinterest.com/catcatxx/rabbit-housing-wall-of-shame/

Scroll down a bit to see the housing similar to playhouses. You may be surprised at what is considered not good.

In the UK, I think it is pretty common for rabbit owners to use wendy houses for their rabbits, with a permanent attached run(foxproofed) to it. And from the accounts I've read and seen, they seem to work really well, except for the humans having to bend over to clean them out.

If you google 'wendy house for rabbits' and 'rabbit playhouse', then click on the images, there are a lots of pictures you can look at for ideas. And I'm sure you could also find some first hand accounts of how the owners like the set up.

Jeez, the Europeans have access to so much awesome rabbit stuff. I can't even find the Ikea Hol line over here that everyone over there uses.

    (Okay, rant over :))

oh no.. These cages on Pinterest are all ok for me. Maybe because of the too small space? Maybe I'll try to contact whatshed if they can do a modification for larger space.
