So, my younger rabbit, Josee, has been pulling out her fur for about 2-3 days now. I thought she would have stopped, but shes plucking herself bald! She's pulling right around the tops of her arms and chest. About 6-8 months ago, she was doing this on her feet and legs(I remember posting about it). Do you think it's because she's stressed? Bored?

Thanks guys:brownbunny

That is usually a behavour of an unspayed doe, has she been spayed? Otherwise I'd say she was going through fake pregnancies, rabbits pluck fur to line their nests.

I was wondering the same thing.

No she has not been spayed(I know I should get her spayed, I've read all about it, but I am not in the financial state right now).

She was lining her litter box.:brownbunny

If she's lining the litter box, it sounds like she's going through a false pregnancy. Especially if it's a re-occuring event.

There is not much you can do but wait it out. Once she loses interest in her nest, clean it up for her.

Once you are able to spay her, at a future date, the behaviour should stop.
