:?can anyone tell me why a couple of my bunnies have what looks like dandruff on there backs? is there something i can do? they are in good health otherwise. please help :(

It could very well be fur mites which is often referred to as "walking dandruff"
Revolution for kittens/ puppies is often used but it is best to have them seen by a vet initally and get the meds through the clinic.

Treating the rabbit oneself can be risky if dosing is not correct.

There are other possibilities than the fur mite, including bacterial or fungal infection, but mites are the most likely. If you watch the scaly skin bits and they do not move, it is probably ringworm.

Ok, this interests me too. Hershey also has dandruffy flakes. It is flakes, not dots or bits that look like sand. The flakes don't appear to move. I just treated him w/ Revolution for fleas, so I'm thinking it's not likely to be mites.
