I really have done a lot of research.

And am coming to find out i need to get chevy fixed he is a male.

I have called vets and it is about 200 ddollars anywhere i have called.

I am in houston Tx area and need to find something cheaper.

mabye 75 at the most.

all my cats and dogs are spayed and would love to get himfixed but 19 in school on a budget and 4 other animals to take care of 200 is pretty steep.

And do they need shots Sorry for all the questions but I just found this forum tonight.

And it was a big life savor.

I'll add some info in a moment, but first, moving this to the reg forum for you, you'll get way more responses there:).

Okees, I have a thread from our Rabbit Savvy Vets section, I'm going to just post the entire link here and you can see who's closest and maybe who's most reasonable in price. The last bun I had neutered, it ran about $170.

If you go to bunnybuddies.org - it is the site for rabbits in the Houston area and you can research vets there and get a feel for what a neuter will run.

I paid about $100 when I had Tiny neutered 3 years ago - but I'm in SW Texas....about a 7 hour drive one way from you.....I'm betting you can find someone there who will do them cheaper than $200.

I live in Houston and am a member of Bunny Buddies. TinysMom is right about contacting Bunny Buddies. Unfrotunately, their web site's list of vets is not complete nor current.

There is a list site that doesn't get much traffic, but it is watched by Bunny Buddy members. You might post there. You'll have sign up and stuff, but anyone can join.

If you join Bunny Buddies ($15 per year) then you'll automatically get to join their Yahoo list.

I kinda doubt that you're going to find much cheaper than $200, however. At least not with a vet who knows what he's doing.

Oh, hey! Call the Houston SPCA!!!!! They do spays and neuters for low-income people on Wednesdays, or at least they used to! Not sure they'll do your rabbit, but it's worth a shot. I'd NOT recommend them for a spay, but a neuter should be okay, I think, probably.

Bunny Buddies takes their adoptables to Dr. Moore, #4 on the list that AngelnSnuffy linked to, for spaying and neutering, so at least you know he has ALOT of experience at it.

I'm racking my pea-sized brain for you. I'd recommend you to my vet, but he's high as hell! He's good, but he charges a good price for it, too. We call him Dr. Costs-a-lot!

If you have transportation, you might call Texas A&M and see if they'll do it.

I hope I've helped and not just muddied the waters for you. Best of luck!
