Have any of you made feed boxes? I read that if you hang them next to or above your liter box then when they eat they poop in the liter box.

Have any of you tried this? Have you made your feed boxes? Any suggestions or tips?

Hay can be a really good one to put in and above the litter tray, because, you're right, they do like to eat and poop at the same time.

You can buy pellet bowls that attached to the side of the cage which you could theoretically use and attach above the side of the litter tray.

This thread has some really good ideas on how to build a feed box.

Personally, I would only put hay in a hayrack near a litter box, & place the pellets elsewhere (as pellets look like poop, may get messy and wind up in litterbox... I'm cheap and would hate to waste that food ;))

Thanks everyone. I made a hay holder that I'm going to finish and zip tie to the cage tonight. Belldandy has a little bowl which sits next to her litter box, she is really good about not knocking it over.

I really like the wheel ones but I thought I'd try making one first.
