Eating lots of hay

The past couple days, my bunnies are suddenly 2-3 times more hay than they have. Should I continue to give them as much as they'll eat, or stick with what they've been eating?

Bunnies should have unlimited hay. One of ours did something similar when we changed the hay holder. I don't know if he liked the new holder or if it was easier to get to or what, but he started eating a TON! We give ours as much as they want.

i would just keep it unlimited...my mini rex eats hay nonstop. i usually have to refill the hayrack 3 or 4 times a day

:yeahthat: Our vet says "as much as they can eat", so we fill their mangers 3 times a day--Finn, 5 times a day. He's a little furry four legged poop machine!

i give my bunnie as much as she wants its always there x maybe it there teeth being to long that started it so there trying to were them down !x

I think mine eat more hay when they shed too, which is a relief that they naturally know how to help prevent blockage. I also rotate between timothy, orchard, and mixed grass hays. They love when a new flavor hits the bin.

Are they still eating their pellets? If so, I wouldn't be concerned, especially if they're not losing weight.
