I HS bred my doe, separated her kits from her at 6 weeks of age, but then she unexpectedly kindled two weeks later! The only contact she has had with a male would have been her kits.
The timeline would have been she bred with a male kit of hers when the kits were 4 weeks old.

Is this possible?!?! How do I prevent this in the future?

~thank you

That's not possible, I don't think. Is there a mature male housed beside her? Rabbits can mate through a divider if there are holes in it.

It is possible for babies to breed with parents. As said, is there a buck next to her?

We usually keep our babies with mom until 8-12 sometimes 13 weeks of age. A male does not come into sexual maturity until 13 weeks so no it is not possible her baby mated with her. There absolutely had to be another way. We have had many litters with moms at that age (i would say at least 50) and never had that happen.
