I need to disinfect some of my rabbit stuff(cage, food bowl, hay rack, water bottle, igloo, etc.). Any tips on howto do so? I've heard that bleach/water and sunlight work well, only Idon't really have a place with a lot of sunlight and we don't have abackyard. Is the sun necessary? Also, how should I disinfect thingslike the water bottle and things that the rabbit eats/drinks from?

Thanks!

Beth

I useone part bleach to 5 parts water. (ex1 cup bleach to 5 cupswater)Soak then rinse verywell. I sun mine becausethe sun is a natural disinfectant.Iclean everythingthis way; Food bowls, water bottels, cages, toys, andnestingboxes.

hehe same here :) i might pour some vinegar in alitter box and let it soak for a bit, just deep enough to soak anynasties and then rinse! bunnies dont smell too bad, but thevinegar really helps knock any odours out!
