Maybe Anti-Breeding is a good thing? Like I said, there are alot of showable piggies in rescues and shelters.

I was a member of Cavy Compendium for Years, but hadn't been on for about 6 months.I can't believe its shut down! That was a great site. I will really miss it.

Cavycages may be strict, but it does have alot of helpful information on care that may help.

I'm in Canada, so maybe getting a ridgeback is a good thing?

Anyways I know a breeder, we are going to switch my Peruvian boar for a smoot coat :] So the babies will all be smooth coats

Good deal. This way you will have a better chance of showable babies.

Minilop does have a good point.....it IS possible to find a showable pig in rescues and shelters if you know what you are looking for. That is an option for people who want to show but don't want the problems that come with breeding.

I ended up doing a switcharoo I traded my boar for a very nice black and tan boar. He is gorgeous. Also I traded one of my sows for another Netherland Dwarf lol So I have 2 sows and a boar now lol
