Can this NIC cage support a Checkered Giant?

I really like the set up of this nic cage http://princessblackie.homestead.com/the the bigger one of the two nic pictures. I was wondering if this model could support a checkered giant (12 lbs or so)? I'm still undecided if I'm going with a dog crate or NIC cage - I've only seen NIC cages with smaller rabbits, so Istarted wonderingif a NIC cage with levels could support a larger bunny...
 
I think with some braising and such you could make it work not totally sure.

I have never had a big bun so i would not know for sure.

More experienced people should come along soon.
 
My 14lb Flemish is in a similar set up, no problem.

I used a few 'L' brackets underneath some saggy spots, I see they use dowels (the poles) for support which is probably even better.

Very healthy set up. Jumping onto shelves is very good exercise, and little covered cubby holes at the base provide emotional security and cuts down stress.
