Yeah the fur was probably trimmed. The nails are supposed to be straight, if they curve under they are waaay to long.

Edit to add: That rabbit is sooo gorgeous! His markings are a lot like my Arthur's, but Arthur's coat isn't that perfect. I have always loved that sharp contraston the broken blacks.

MEMEMEEE!! I'M GOING!!!

Heck, we WERE going to be at my dad's from Thurs afternoon/evening until Monday afternoon/evening...but then I realized that the BUNFEST was happening...so we're going to take the 3-4hr drive back home from my dad's on Saturday late afternoon...then take the 2hr drive to San Diego the following morning to make it there. PRIORITIES, MAN!!!

I'm sad to leave my dad's earlier than we'd planned...but now that we have the 4Runner, we're able to make it out there MUCH more often than we used to. :) So, we'll be back there again soon. :D

We should plan on meeting at a certain time at a certain booth...maybe a breeder's booth that we know is going??????

Yup it will take us 2 hours to get there to. Irie- trixieismyfunnybunny might be going with us. I am calling her right now.... :biggrin2:

Just wanted to say- it is considered a disqualification in ARBA to alter a rabbits natural appearance by trimming fur. It is called 'faking'. I'm not saying there aren't dishonest people out there and that it doesn't happen- but it is uncommon. The rabbit in that picture is a Mini Rex. Their hair is so short that it makes their toes and toenails much easier to see than on a normal rabbit.

San Diego HRS has been working hard on coordinating Bunnyfest all summer long, and we can't wait for next Sunday!

I will have a booth for Cats & Rabbits & More with tons of fun toys for rabbits. I'm also the co-chair of the auction, and we'll have many great items to bid on.

If you can make it, be sure to stop by my booth and say "HI"!

No kidding. I wish I had rabbit shows to go to. But there aren't any near Calgary, Edmonton has all the shows. Calgary sucks.:grumpy:
There is one or 2 around Calgary! And don't feel too bad, there is a likelyhood that me and my quartet may end up in Calgary come January. ;)

YUP! I want to go sooooo bad!!!!!! Maybe next year.

This Mini Rex did very well, as it won 4 BIS from 4 different judges at the Edmonton Show.

I didn't know even giving fur a trim was considered "altering appearance". Now that I think about it though, it is easier to find the nails on my Mini Rex than on the other rabbits/breeds I have. I guess I thought that bunny's feet much have been trimmeed because mine never look that neat and nice, LOL.
