bunny losing balance

Hey everyone,

For a several days now, my bunny when running seems to lose his balance and falls to his side. It has happened 4 times now and I am not sure if it has to do with his behaviour or health.

Generally, he seems to feel fine, despite an issue with some mites.

I am worried, do you have any ideas?

If it isn't a matter of just losing his footing on a slippery surface, I would suggest phoning your vet. A rabbit losing it's balance repeatedly and for no obvious reason, isn't a normal thing. It can be an indication of some sort of health problem. Have you started treating your rabbit for the mites yet, and if so, what are you using?

I posted recently asking for advice regarding the mites, and people suggested Ivermectine and revolution. My bunny used to have injections for the mites, but the problem never really solved. I'll be in touch with the vet for both issues, thanks for your answer.

Definitely consult your vet. Issues with balance can be something neurological, an inner ear infection, E.C., etc.
