Hello all! As I was petting my bun Nesquik, I was massaging along her upper jawline and felt something hard. At first I thought it might have been a whisker that was growing back but upon further inspection it was some weird brown gunk at the base of her fur. Almost as if it was matted. It was in two places on her left side and one on the right side. Should I be concerned?

It's normal, all rabbits get these. It's a build up of secretions from the sebaceous glands(provided these aren't actually scabs from wounds). Sometime it can form these 'fur plugs' that come out when the rabbit is molting. This link explains that they're compound hair follicles and shows what it looks like. What it doesn't mention is that it's also associated with the sebaceous gland secretion build up.
