Breed Identification

Does anyone have any idea what breed Anthony would be considered? New Zealand or American are my guesses?

Broken New Zealands are still pretty rare if I'm thinking correctly. They aren't even recognized as a variety yet, so I don't think any reputable/responsible breeder would let one end up in a pet home.

I was told he was 2 1/2 years old when I adopted him from the SPCA last month.

Not sure on the "Charley" designator myself, but he does appear to be a mix with mostly White New Zealand dominating. Gorgeous bunny too.

A "charlie" is a rabbit that has less than 10% coloring on their body. Because this rabbit has so few markings, it would be considered a charlie.

No Just Broken New Zealand. Do you have pictures of him in better light? I think it would be safe to say he is a Broken Red New Zealand.

Red
and BROKEN variety

I would assume if he was a charlie and wasn't able to be shown with enough color while also not being breeding quality he could have very likely been sold as a pet.
