bonding question

I have a2 year old neutered mini rex and will be getting a 1 year old spayed flemish giant. The rex is pretty doscle and the flemish is pretty dominate. Would this be a good match and how would I go about bonding them? I was thinking about when I pick her up take him with in a seperate carrier then but them together in a diffrent carrier for the ride home. Also how would I work out pellet fedding. I don't know if she is a food hog or not. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
