Purebred pedigree'd Netherland Dwarf doeling, so she is registerable. It does show a photo of her underside so I would like if someone could confirm that she is a female, as the current owner of her and her mom and sibling is very young and is just taking the gender by a guess from comparing her to her mother and father. There is also a photo of her "brother" and his underside. If one of the two is female and show-quality, I will take that one, as their mother used to be mine, so I get pick of the litter.

("Female")

just showing the underside doesnt help in determining the sex. You would need to push on the 'vulva' a slight amount. Like most have said taco or slit means girl and doughnut or dot means boy.

They both look very nice. Hard to comment on type but head and ears look good to me the girls ears to look more appealing to me as they appear to be shorter and have more substance?

I haven't met them in person yet, so I still have to wait for the genders to be deturmined. If the black otter is a female I am definitley going with her. Although she only has one solid paw, and the rest have white markings on them, would that be a colour disqualification in ARBA shows?

Ok from my experience the way the "female" looks, I think its male, the other looks female because everything is closer together, at least looks it to me. However, you won't know until you go look. As to the paws on the girl? I can not really see her paws in the second photo, you can not really go by the first photo because the focus is the privates and not color. . .would need a photo from each side where I could see the feet to tell you if she looks showable or not.

Here are some newer pictures of them both. I am really hoping that the black otter is a female, becausethat is the one we went with. It was the calmer of the two, and much friendlier.

I am unsure of how to check genders, so I am just basing it on what the more experienced personof their house says
