Best litter?

I use hemp litter by Earth Supply Co. and it seems to be good and a reasonable price, but recently had to buy softwood litter from Petco and was wondering what the best type of litter is for a single rabbit
 
A favorite here on RO are wood pellets (different than shavings). They can be purchased as wood pellets for wood pellet stoves OR as horse stall bedding. They are super cheap ($4-$7 for 40 lb bag) and work better (imo) than any pet store litters.

I read a lot of people on here recommend the pellets, which is why I tried them. I really, really hated them and ended up donating the entire bag to a hobby farm down the way. There are 7 litter boxes for Tawny scattered around the house, and I found the pellets a pain to clean. I use paper litter.
