(correct me if im wrong)You can feed your bun alfalfa hay but if you see alot of ceceals then timothy hay may be better. Bunbuns is 11 months old and he has been eating alfalfa hay since he was 7 or 9 months old.

Bunbuns -You can feed alfalfa hay as long as your adult bun doesn't have problems (sludgy pee, extra cecals) but in general people are told alfalfa when young, timothy when old so that people who don't know to look for those signs don't hurt their buns. It's just a rule of thumb, it all depends on the bun.

None of mine ever had alfalfa. They are coming up to six months old and the vet commented on their excellent condition last time he saw them (for their neuters). People do recommend it, but it's not the be all and end all. Mine did just fine without it :)
