Ever since I lost Bebe I've been begging my parents to let me get a new bun but they keep telling me no since they are maybe going to sell the house soonish they don't want me to get another bun yet so that if they do show the house it won't smell like a bunny :/ I do understand why but I miss having a bun. I didn't know it was possible to become so hooked in so short a time. I only had her about 5 months but I am ADDICTED and miss snuggling my cute little fuzz butt :'( I've looked for bunny rescues to volunteer at but the closest one is over two hours away and that's just not possible. Any bun owners in Tucson want to have a play date/need a bun sitter? Or does anyone know of somewhere/something I can get involved in here to get me back into contact with buns?

well if you have any pet stores in your area you can try working at one or hanging out around one sometimes i know pet stores im gonna get rocks thrown at me now, but if the closest shelter is so far away </3

Rabbit conventions! Check your state ARBA page for shows. So many of the people there are really nice and I am sure would let you give their guys a little snuggle, or at least a pet!

Before I could have a rabbit, while I was still in college and moving a lot, I attended a ton of conventions to get my fix.

I work at a vet clinic but we only see cats and dogs (some birds) and the closest rescue is over two hours away.. I have thought about an outdoor hutch but it is way too hot during the day right now and our house backs up to a wash so I would be very concerned about predators. I tried looking for rabbit shows/conventions here in town but couldn't find anything :(

I'm totally getting how you feel... just lost my bunny a few months ago, and now I've moved away from home into a place where I can't have rabbits. Luckily there is a feral rabbit population nearby that my boyfriend and I go visit. Is there anywhere like that in Tucson?

Any shelters? The SPCA gets in rabbits here and they really need knowlegable people to help with rabbit socialising since most are not really bun people.

We have a local Humane Society but they don't often get rabbits and there aren't any rabbit rescues within a reasonable driving distance :(

What about finding someone locally that raises rabbits? Maybe you could find someone that wouldn't mind some help socializing their buns.
