I am mommy (aka slave) to Skeletor and She-Ra. Skeletor is a chinchilla lionhead buck and his wife, She-Ra, is a double-maned fawn lionhead doe. Skelly is the light of my life and has been an absolute joy for me, my husband, and our 3 (soon to be 4) kids. She-Ra is gonna need to get spayed before we can enjoy her again LOL. she has been quite crabby and hard to cuddle or placate since she "became a woman." She grudgingly lets me hold her but if anyone else tries it, you can forget it, she becomes a growling, kicking, fuzzy mess. Funny thing--she LOVES being brushed. Thats about the only way we can still have quality time with her. I made an appointment with our vet for next week, and we all have our fingers crossed that she will once again be our sweet little poof once she comes thru her operation.

Hormones do that to both girls and boys. Hoping all goes well with the spaying.

Have my first Lion head doe too. She's so much different than my boys. Very assertive and demanding. She hasn't hit that "teenage" months where hormones rage, so it should be interesting. I am going to breed her but if it doesn't work out, then she will get spayed too.

If she likes the grooming, then once she's spayed she will definitely start liking other things too.

Let us know how she makes out. Will have my fingers crossed for your sweetie that it's a quick and easy recovery.

K:)

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure the surgery will do the trick, though it will take weeks for the hormones to go away. As she'll need to be kept separate for awhile, rub her with his blanket [and vice versa] before reuniting, so they won't seem to be strangers.

And congratulations on your upcoming addition via the stork. Tell us a little about your older 3.
