    Groucho is neutered... now what?!

Groucho seems to be doing great. He has TONS of energy and is running around, wanting to jump on things. Should I let him jump on things after about a week? No sooner? He loves to jump up on the couch and chairs and I took the chairs away and put an x-pen around the couch so he's looking around...

    Groucho is neutered... now what?!

Groucho got neutered yesterday and I will be picking him up today after work. He stayed the night at the vet and is going back to the Humane Society until I get off work and can pick him up. I was wondering if there is anything special I need to do/not do while he is healing after his neutering...

    Fostering bunnies, starting with Groucho!

Groucho is doing great. He's getting neutered Tuesday so then I'll begin the process of litter box training him. Anyone have any tips? He doesn't pee on the carpet but he'll drop a poop or two and he uses the linoleum in my kitchen as his poop/pee litter box. He'll pee right next to the litter...

    Fostering bunnies, starting with Groucho!

I decided I should start a blog about Groucho and our adventure together. It is going to be a short adventure, since I am only fostering him for at least two weeks, until he gets neutered. After that, he may come back with us, find another foster home or find his forever home, but only time will...

I'm new here, first time rabbit "owner" (fostering)

I think he is named after the actor now that you mention it. He is a very happy bunny now that he got out of the shelter for a bit. He isn't shy and scared and is loving all of the free space to run wild (he has "free range" of our kitchen, living room, and dining room). We are definitely still...

    Washingtonians!!!!!!

He's doing A LOT better. He's no longer huddled in the corner of the cage trying to get away from the world but now he is insisting that he MUST be out of his cage exploring my apartment. It's exhausting since my apartment isn't bunny proofed yet, but at least he's doing better.

    Washingtonians!!!!!!

Thanks - I didn't come up with the name.. and I've only had him a day :D Actually less than a day. It'll be 24 hours around 5:30 tonight! I'm fostering him. I volunteer at the Humane Society with the bunnies and he was REALLY stressed out being around all of the noise and people so he needed a...

I found a pic of Groucho on the shelter's website. I'll update it as soon as I get home, as it makes me sad since he's huddled in the corner and I know he's scared. It'll work for now to give everyone a "sneak peak" of what he looks like. I probably will end up adopting him. He has such...

But of course... :biggrin2: when I get home. I’m at work right now, but I took a couple of pix of him last night I’ll upload a couple tonight when I get home. He’s beautiful but I’m not sure what breed. Poor guy has a slight infection in his right eye though but I’m giving him drops so...

I just picked up GROUCHO yesterday from the Humane Society. I've been volunteering there with the buns since about October and fell in love with the bunnies! I don't know much about Groucho's history but he was VERY stressed out in the shelter so he needed a quiet home to stay in. Currently...
