    Not really litter trained?

Hello all, aquired a 6 month old Lop from friend's gf. Was told she was litter trained. Was expecting a few droppings here and there as she's not spayed yet and I have another rabbit, but she poops constantly when out of cage. Earlier I let her out and she dropped 40 pellets not just on the rug...

    New bunny terrorizing old one.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately even if I have her spayed tomorrow, I'll be out of here by this weekend. Best I can do to is keep them locked up in their cages while the other is out, see how quick the vet can fit her in for spaying. Should I spay her asap even if recovers here for a day or...

    New bunny terrorizing old one.

Hello all. So here's my concern. I have a 4yo Mini Rex neutered. Been wanting to get him a buddy for a bit. Friend says his GF is getting rid of their bunny because kids aren't giving it attention. She is unspayed 6mo old flop. I set up a meeting. She's calm. They get along. Occasional...

Aw Poop—why does it look like he smushed it into the carpet

Soft cecals don't look like grapes. If they're soft enough they can look like giant teardrops of sticky nastiness, because they weren't... 'baked' enough in the cecum and came out early.

    Feeling the spine?

I'm a first-time rabbit owner, have had my minirex for over three years and I was shocked at how lean and lanky they are. I could feel his ribs and bumps in his spine, but the vet said he was a good weight at 4.5 pounds. (Just over 2 kilos for the rest of the world) Though if you are that...

    Taking rabbits out in public

Way too many dog owners. Especially 'pittbull' breeds. And while Pitts are some of the sweetest I've seen, I would hate to see one, or any large dog forget their size difference and accidentally hurt my mini rex trying to play. Plus unlike dogs, my idiot would constantly be grazing and nibbling...

Aw Poop—why does it look like he smushed it into the carpet

My guess is, is he's going for the cecals, determining them too soft to eat and dropping them. Then just his normal movements make him step on it and grind it in the floor. Glad to hear his hocks are okay.

    Is rabbit sick or ticked?

Quick update. Didn't eat the rest of day. Turned his nose up at a strawberry. Went to vet hospital. Vet said he felt gassy. Gave him two shots. We came home and he ate for a solid hour. ( Guess between the car ride, the handling and the shots his guts got moving) Woke up, he pooped at some...

    Is rabbit sick or ticked?

So, I woke up late being up later than usual. My rabbit ( 3.5 yr old mini rex) usually gets fed by 10 Am and around 5-6 pm. I woke up at 1 pm. Wasn't too keen on eating his greens. Granted he's usually napping between 1 or 2 through 4 pm. And he had been eating hay during the night ( with a big...
