    Ear mites

Thank-you JBUN! That does make sense that if she's getting the alfalfa pellets and the hay it may be too much! I am transitioning her to a new hay (fingers crossed it works) and I think I will keep her on the alfalfa pellets for another couple of months and then move her over to timothy pellets...

    Ear mites

I'm sad. I wanted a "waddle" :) Just kidding! I mixed some timothy hay with her alfalfa hay tonight and I'll see how that goes over! Thanks again!!!

    Ear mites

Thank-you so much! I felt like I was doing everything wrong! The way I see it, she was deemed healthy (aside from the mites) and a good weight at the vets office, so obviously I haven't screwed up that badly! Her teeth were good, feet were good, bum looked fine etc. And she didn't even try to...

    New bunny mom!

Hi!!! What an adorable rabbit!!! I do believe that young rabbits should be eating alfalfa hay and alfalfa pellets. I was told this is because they are higher in protein and growing bunnies need more! My rabbit is 8 months now so I am switching her over to timothy pellets and a different hay...

    Ear mites

Hi, So I took Jude into the vet this morning where they diagnosed her with ear mites (I wasn't surprised as I did some searching of her symptoms on the net last night). They cleaned the crusty scabbing in her ear and gave her a medicine that goes into the skin on her back and should clear up...

Update on life with Jude the Flemmie :)

Hi everyone! I haven't been on here for a long time so I thought I would update! lol! Jude is now about 9 months old and she's pretty small for a flemish (I think so, anyhow) but maybe she still has a little bit of growing to do! I relocated her run. She originally lived in a 4 foot wide by...

    Neutering a Flemish?

I have a female flemish giant that is about 5 or 6 months now and I made the same boo boo :) I guess that because they are a giant breed they do take longer to mature physically. I had to cancel my appointment as well! I was told (by other owners) that I could have her spayed once she hits 8...

    Sanguine

Thanks Troller! I never wanted to pick her up and cuddle her really, so I guess that's a good thing lol! We'll work on getting picked up at least once a day- maybe that will help a bit! She's super curious so it's hilarious to just watch her run around anyways! Thanks again!

    Flemish giant some small issues

I was thinking of putting her in the bathroom actually! There isn't anything she can get into and the floor is cement, so maybe she wouldn't pee and poop all over lol! She just loves her outside house :) I guess I'll just have to experiment with different rooms and figure out which she prefers...

    Sanguine

Hi! My flemmie is around 5-6 months now so close to yours, I think! Do you have problems picking ypurs up? Mine HATES being picked up! I'm super gentle but no matter what I do, she thumps her feet at me in major disapproval :( i don't want her to be a lap bunny or anything but I'd like her to be...

    Flemish giant some small issues

So Jude is 5 or 6 months old now and growing like a weed! She's awesome :)! I am having a few tiny issues though. So she lives outside in a 6 foot by 15 foot chainlink dog run. It has a little insulated dog house for her and tons of shade and blocking from the wind. I check on her three times a...

Decisions decisions...advice would be much appreciated!

I have Flemish Giant! I only just got her about a month ago now. She's awesome!!! I got her from a breeder that kept his rabbits outside. I keep mine outside as well, but I bring her inside when the temperature isn't good for her (such as today- it was too hot out for her). She has a huge run to...
