    Needing advice.

I'm impressed! I've never been able to keep any kind of wrap on my Flemish Giants when they're needed. Really glad to hear the little guy is doing so good! :dancingorig:

    Needing advice.

The idea is the entire cage is lined with them so the only time the rabbits isn't on a padded surface would be when it uses the litter box. As I said mine don't use a box but their "chosen corner" I put in the mat and then a couple hands full of chopped straw to soak up the pee, usually before...

    Needing advice.

Keeping socks and wraps on a rabbit is a challenge to say the least,"been there done that". I have a old doe, Flemish Giant, that has developed soars on her feet and tried covering them, no dice. Talked with a breeder friend and they said, "good luck". The bigger they are the harder it is to get...

ok so my pets at home bun is the best ever

I raise fawn colored Flemish Giants. BIG bunnies for sure. Homer's Ma Ma is my smallest doe at 19.5 pounds. He is a little small at 16 pounds...and yes, they know how to eat and eat and make fertilizer. :sweep

ok so my pets at home bun is the best ever

I've had a few that will do that. Usually (but not always) they will grow out of it. Of the two in the center the one on the left is Homer at 10 weeks old. At about one year of age he stopped with the lazy ears. He is now 2-1/2 and you'd never know he was my little helicopter.

    Food Storage!

Not from England but I use 5 gallon plastic buckets. Each one holds 25 pounds of feed and the tops seal great for years of use. All kinds of places you can find them; painters, restaurants (pickles come in them), lumber yards (Home Depot and the like) etc.

Is my bunny a Flemish Giant?

He does seem really small for a Flemish. We raise fawn colored Flemish and here are a few pictures of the same rabbit on the scales. One at 3 weeks and the other at 10 weeks of age.

    Hay rack

I use old oven racks that are FREE at most appliance stores. (free is a good thing) Just lay a 2x4 across it and bend them in half. After I have it where I (and the bun) want it I cut out the cage wire, file down any sharp edges and firmly attach it to the outside of the hutch.

    Bunny burrowing

That would be worth setting up a time-laps camera for. It does seam like rather unusual behavior. I can see it now, "Just having fun mom". :happyrabbit:

Made bunny sick by accident ....

I have to agree with this statement. Pellets really aren't a house bunnies friend. The article (I think) Geoff is referring to can be read here and is very informative. Glad your bun is feeling better. :bunny18

New (and unexpected) Bun Momma! Hallo!

Very cute little guy you found there. :bunny22: For a hidey box just get a small cardboard box and cut a hole in it. It gives him a place to hide and something to chew on.

    Recently Recued Bunny

Hi JellyBean, She is awfully thin for a 3 year old Flemish Giant. I've raised them, F.Gs, for eight years now and when I need to put a little extra weight on mine or have a doe with kits I give them a little Calf Mana. If you know anyone that raises calves see if they'll give you a cup or...
