An Albino gaining coloration later in life?

So, does anyone have ideas? I could try to get better pictures if need be... I just don't have a very good camera anywhere and the lighting is scarce and dim in most of my house.

    KS Rabbit Savvy Vets X

For anyone in on the Kansas side of the KC metro, I had my girl spayed recently by the vet who used to see my rats, and he is amazing at his job. Dr. Heath Brown at Mission Animal clinic 5915 Broadmoor St, Mission, KS 66202 (913) 432-3341 www.missionanimalclinic.com

    Albino rabbit is developing color?

Alright, so I put together some pictures to show what I mean. This is Stella at about 4-6 weeks old. Notice she is entirely white. And this is her no more than two months ago. The following images were taken today, clearly showing coloration on her fur just now developing at around 7-8...

    Albino rabbit is developing color?

Yes, her eyes are completely red/pink. Someone in the other forum suggested the possibility of a Californian mix, which does sort of seem to fit, but she's definitely growing like a Flem. And she comes from a gray mother and a brown father, both just as huge. I'll have pictures later tonight.

An Albino gaining coloration later in life?

I could ask the breeder, but I'm pretty sure she's full. I saw both her parents, they were definitely giants. One brown and one gray. And at 8 months old, my girl is huge. Probably about the size of a grown Corgi. Yes the ears and nose are similar to that picture, but she didn't start developing...

    Funny Meme of the day

I... want to lay down and let them pile on me. Can I be a crazy bunny guy?

    Albino rabbit is developing color?

This doesn't seem like much of a health issue, but no one has said anything in the general rabbit chat, so here goes. My Albino Flemish Giant has, in the last month or so, started getting some gray fur on her nose, ears, and tail. She's 8 months now, and had previously always been white, and I...

How to tell if my bunny is enjoying pets, or just putting up with them?

I love it when they flatten into fur puddles!

An Albino gaining coloration later in life?

Sorry I don't have pictures at the moment, but my Albino flemish giant (who you can see on my rabbit registry page, but those are old pictures) who has been white her whole life has recently started coloring in a little. Her nose, ears, and a bit of her tail are turning gray, like her mother's...

    Does spaying stunt growth?

I just had my little one (well, the older of my two) spayed last month, and I'm glad I did. Now I need to think about getting her sister, a flemish giant, spayed soon. She's already nearing 8 months and I know I really shouldn't wait any longer. But my concern is that I want my flem to be able...

    Please Help Destructive Rabbit!

My bunnies who have free roam of the house have their own play area in my back room to vent all their destructo-bunny rage. I never throw away cardboard boxes or junk mail any more. I pile them all up in a giant paper castle and let them have at it. Their level of destruction to the rest of the...

    Digging everything out of litterbox

My rabbits never would do this, but one time I got the bright idea to line the box with newspaper before adding the bedding to make it easier to clean. Despite the stack of paper they had to chew on, they dug everything out of the litter box just to get to the paper at the bottom. So see if...

    Housing Big Bunnies

I have a Flemish giant as well, and while this isn't how most people do it, she has free roam of the house, just like a dog or a cat. She has a little blanketed corner of the kitchen that is completely her area, with food and water, and the rest of the house is open to her, with the exception of...

Ive been absent for some time... But this made me mad and I had to return

I have a Flemish giant and a well fenced-in back yard. I've wanted to let her run around but I've been to scared to try yet, and it would never happen unsupervised. But then again, I've seen some disciplined rabbits that have really surprised me.... but yes. That is very irresponsible of them.
