Thanks, Randy! So, lack of calcium absorbtion and vit. D exposure seems to be the variable in my barn! We used to house our rabbits on a wall with a window, and now they're on the opposite wall and get little to no direct sunlight. I have seen an increase in splay-leg and kit mortality!

The only time it happened to us, was when our older doe delayed her delivery (due to complications) & had hers 4 days later and they were partially decomposed; all died. Her next litter died, then the litter after that lived. She is 5 yrs. old.

Thanks; we've been mixing oats, hay and calf manna w/show feed all along and they're still not gaining. I do want to know about buttermilk!! It works for other animals, I know. Rabbit's digestion is delicate, though, so I wanted to put this out there for feedback.

my meat rabbits have not gained in 2 weeks. They must weight at least 3 lbs. min. for fair, and it's next week! C an rabbits eat buttermilk? HELP!!!
