    Litter Training issues

Hon, save yourself the grief and wait until he's neutered. It probably wont take until a month or so after he's been fixed. You're not doing anything wrong as far as I can tell, that's just how it is for rabbits who aren't desexed.

    Molting and hiccups

And of course after I post this they both seem ridiculously interested in food and water.

    Molting and hiccups

Jack is molting, I think. First it started on the top of his back feet, and I pulled the loose fur out. It was fine, the brown came out and it turns out his feet are actually white, and it has stayed a steady length. But I was just trimming his back nails, and more was coming out on his upper...

    Is this okay?

Nix the hanging tent. That's VERY dangerous. If you're going to do three levels, which that looks like, you need to do the top level all the way across so she doesn't fall, and it'll give her a lot more room. She wont need the ramp, either. You want to encourage her to jump up there. I can't...

    The wonders of Vinyl

I have a chewer, and I like to refer to her as The Destroyer. She has eaten through every flooring I've ever tried using. Except for this clear vinyl, why hadn't I thought of it sooner! She can't wrap her lips around it! They can dig at it and not make any dents, and if the edges are outside...

Jack and Lily need a new home - IOWA

Anyone? I'm going to wait another week and then take them to the rescue league. I trust they will be able to find a home for them better then I will.

RESOLVED: Mini Rex (1 year old, Male) needs to be rehomed!

Sorry hon, I'm having to rehome mine now as well. The move is proving to be to expensive, and it would cause way to much stress on Jack and Lily. He's such a cutie, it hurts to look at him.

Seperating a bonded pair, and rehoming one

Thank you all for your help. But, as I posted in the rescue section, it's just not fair. So I'm going to contact the person Eli posted earlier, and try and get them to a new home asap. I keep struggling every day with taking them with me, not taking them with, taking them with, not taking them...

Jack and Lily need a new home - IOWA

Jack and Lily need a new home - IOWA

I've come to the decision that I need to find Jack and Lily a new family. I would prefer not to send them to a shelter or re-home them off Craigslist, so we'll try here first, then petfinder and so on and so forth. The Situation: I'm 20, almost 21, and moving myself to Atlanta at the end of...

How can you tell if a rabbit is spayed?

Maybe you can take her in and have the vet look at her?

    Cooling down bunnies

It's a big safety concern in barns because of the cobwebs and the hay. I don't want to worry you or anything. I think It would be a concern if it were a wood hutch, but since it's not no worries. I think I would like to try one of those battery operated ones.

Seperating a bonded pair, and rehoming one

Eli, I am only considering rehoming her. Yeah, it would be a shame. Ideally they could stay together and be happy, but that's not the case. They shouldn't have been bonded in the first place, and clearly it's taking its toll on Jack. It doesn't matter if it's just the spay, or her...

    Cooling down bunnies

If they have a hutch, and your fan is blowing into the hutch, have another blowing out to get the air moving. That's what my mom would do in our house, and the hot air never settled long enough to cause agony. I like the bunny pop idea, btw. I never thought to use my juicer for something...

Seperating a bonded pair, and rehoming one

As for Jack, he's on his sixth or seventh home, and that's an ideal number. He was a shelter rabbit, and he kept getting returned for not being a child friendly bun. I would peg him as a great starter rabbit, so I don't know what they were talking about. Then they went to Mary, then Mary rehomed...

Seperating a bonded pair, and rehoming one

Thank you all for your posts, I really appreciate it. I posted an ad on CL, even though I feel uncomfortable doing so. However, there may be someone out there who doesn't have a bull donkey idea of breeding her or giving her to their children as the perfect Easter present. And I will NOT...

Seperating a bonded pair, and rehoming one

Eli, I have enough pellet and hay to get them through until payday in JUNE. I would most certainly consider that if I weren't transferring jobs, but since I am that's completely unnecessary. Thanks for the suggestion though, but I'm not sending my rabbits to a rescue. I didn't say I couldn't...
