Water bottles here.

I, for one, would never use a water dish. Too dirty, too much of a chance to get knocked over, used as a bathroom etc. Buns are just too unpredictable for a bowl. Just my opinion :)
I use bottles for the same reason. I tried to use bowls but I find that they are too much work. Bowls are great if you are a breeder who has a dirt or concreat floors in their barn. I think that the bottles are more sanitary. I rarely have a bottle that leaks. The feed store in Spring TX sells really great bottles for cheep.
Funny. I find the bowl to be much cleaner that bottles. Bottles (imho) are a pain in the neck to keep clean. BUT I use a bowl that attaches to the side and easily twists out. It is much easier to clean. I've also found (being a former bottle user) that the buns seems to drink more and drink easier from a bowl. Here's a photo that shows how the bowl attaches to the cage.

:yeahthat: I have this bowl in purple. I was using a heavy ceramic cereal bowl at first, but if she got a little wild, Monty could tip it just enough to dump out all of the water. Plus, she likes to put her front feet in the bowl if she can't quite reach the water when it gets emptied about halfway.
I read somewhere in my research that bunnies "suck" water, so they can drink more efficiently from a bowl. :? I haven't tried a bottle, but she seems to drink a TON and larger bottles are more than I'm willing to pay, less quick to unhook from the cage to refill, and I remember hating the sound of the water bottle when I had my rat. Silly girl still puts her feets in it, but it stays surprisingly clean.

The kind of dish blue eyes put in a picture of can't be tipped because it is locked onto the bars. I have one as well, in my pet store they are in the bird section. When you want to change the water you just twist it out of the holder and the cup comes off. Rabbits are smart, but they don't have thumbs. :)

I use a dish, Buster doesn't know how to drink from a water bottle. :p

He kept spilling it though, so I went to petsmart and got a dog dish and food bowl that attach to the corner of his cage. No problems since!

I LOVE those bowls. I always used them for food dishes in my rabbitry. I never thought about using them for water. I had some rabbits that would drink 32oz of water each day. The biggest size that they make those I beleave is 10oz. Plus you have to deal with sloshing water everywhere when bringing it to and from the cage. With my bottles I just fill them up every couple of days and Beauty is good.

Our SPCA said use water dishes so I did. Then they started having poops and hay in their water so I switched them. There are definetly pro's and con's to both, though. I even know some people who use both! So they have their pick!

I have noticed over the last couple days that Panda and Bunnicula like to drink out of the cat's water fountain. Bunnicula really puts her nose down into the water so her whole little face gets wet, it's so cute.

Dish. Oliver was 6 months old when I got him and he was raised on dishes. Daisy was 4 and half years when I got her and she's had dishes her whole life. I clean them everyday and during the day if they get food in there I scoop it out. :) I bought ceramic dishes for Oliver so he can't chew it or tip it over as easy. Daisy throws hers all around. I'm thinking I need new heavier dishes for her.

Mine is a 20 oz. You have to check different pet sections for different sizes. (and colors)
