I clicked bowl as soon as I saw 'bowl' then realized the mistake.
I use a bowl/dish -- not a bottle.

Funny. I find the bowl to be much cleaner that bottles. Bottles (imho) are a pain in the neck to keep clean. BUT I use a bowl that attaches to the side and easily twists out. It is much easier to clean. I've also found (being a former bottle user) that the buns seems to drink more and drink easier from a bowl. Here's a photo that shows how the bowl attaches to the cage.agnesthelion wrote:
I use bottles for the same reason. I tried to use bowls but I find that they are too much work. Bowls are great if you are a breeder who has a dirt or concreat floors in their barn. I think that the bottles are more sanitary. I rarely have a bottle that leaks. The feed store in Spring TX sells really great bottles for cheep.Water bottles here.
I, for one, would never use a water dish. Too dirty, too much of a chance to get knocked over, used as a bathroom etc. Buns are just too unpredictable for a bowl. Just my opinion
Mine is a 20 oz. You have to check different pet sections for different sizes. (and colors)I LOVE those bowls. I always used them for food dishes in my rabbitry. I never thought about using them for water. I had some rabbits that would drink 32oz of water each day. The biggest size that they make those I beleave is 10oz. Plus you have to deal with sloshing water everywhere when bringing it to and from the cage. With my bottles I just fill them up every couple of days and Beauty is good.
