Hi I’m getting my 6 month old bunny spayed soon but I’ve heard you need to get blood test first? Does anyone know the step to get ready or what to do before her spay? And how to take care of her afterward?
I call so vets but there never specific they make it seem like it’s just the surgery and done no pain medication or nothing.
Thanks in advance!

Also I found this bunny 1 years old that didn’t seem like she had any hay or water the owner don’t seem to have any experience and are selling her. I want to take her to give her a better home she stuck in a cage pretty much:( what do you think I should do ,should I take her? I’m getting worried and it’s not even my bunny:(

If the owner will give her to you then definitely take her, but beware you will have to keep them separate until both are spayed and you attempt bonding. And if the bonding doesn't work out you will have to keep them both separate for 10 plus years. This is not to scare you out of it but just to give you knowledge :) As for the blood work at 6 months old you should not need any unless vet says you need too, this is mostly done for older animals that may have underlying conditions. Young buns shouldn't have any issues. But you can always have it done for peace of mind.
