Our rabbits are in the barn on cement in a large space that's kept cleaned, we haven't had a parasite issue in the past but I found this in my doe rabbits food bowl. This helps explain why she's been so hungry! I'm not sure what end of the rabbit this came from.
Ive treated with cat revolution and goat liquid safeguard in the past. What would you use, and what dose? She just gave birth five days ago, is treating HER safe for kits?

It was just in the food? Then, most likely, it's just extra protein. I would check if the food is stored really dry, if it's damp enough that things like that (moths?) can live in it I would really worry about mold.

She just gave birth and nurses kits - of course she's hungry, let her eat as much as she wants now. Imho the intake doubles, at least, when nursing.

I do not have a rabbit vet. There is one in the area who will neuter a male rabbit but not treat anything.

It was a worm. For sure. Just in the bottom of a food bowl. She pees in her food bowl so it could have fallen off her behind? Otherwise I have no idea if its not hers how a fresh intestinal parasite ended up there. The pellets are fresh-not moldy. And yes obviously she is hungry due to motherhood ;) but given I know her, her body size and normal personality as well as what I am feeding her, I also know that she seems extra hungry compared to past litters, hence, internal parasites made sense to me....when I saw this one.

I found the doseage for Safeguard on this forum before, but cannot find it now. Does anyone know? I know that it is used off label. Or if there is something better, I'd buy that. Last time I looked Safeguard seemed to be the suggestion. I'm just having trouble locating a does closer than "pea size blob" and I know that someone had an exact X cc to X lb dosage of the liquid goat dewormer. In mares and does (goats) this is safe for the young, I'm assuming its fine for kits to have mom treated?

If it was an intestinal worm, it more likely would have been in the fecal ball itself. My guess is that it is some sort of moth larva that was in the food. If you're still concerned check her fecal poop carefully for any signs of worms. You could also take a fecal sample to the vet to have a float test done.

If you are wanting to treat her anyways, you should consult with your vet as treatment will also affect the babies, and I have only found info suggesting that it's safe in pregnant animals but unsure about nursing ones.
