Sitting in the rain led to wet feet, then baldness

Thank you. I have heard that rabbits can go into shock during baths and such, do you think rain/puddles could cause the same reaction? Thankfully it's not inflamed or red and doesn't appear to have any other issues but I will be sure to keep a close eye on it!

Sitting in the rain led to wet feet, then baldness

Thank you for your reply :) it isn't so much on the sole of his hocks, but more on the back of the legs. He is completely normal otherwise! He is doing his normal thing, very attentive and active. It isn't inflamed or red, just typically pink as the skin is. I was a bit concerned when I noticed...

Sitting in the rain led to wet feet, then baldness

My 2 rabbits, Corey (Flemish giant) and Luna (albino) live in the back garden. The garden is paved. They have a shed full of blankets, their litter dishes and bowls which provides shelter. I like to leave them free range but I'm not sure anymore. Whenever it rains, they usually sit in the...

Fine until 30 minutes later she was dead

I had emailed my tutor about it and she said that she could do it on Monday once she was defrosted, as I wont be able to do it until then. The garden is slightly small but it is walled about 10 ft high. We don't get predators other than birds and I foxes are rarely ever spotted. Unless...

Fine until 30 minutes later she was dead

I received Cora, my Vienna rabbit, in early June as a gift from my boyfriend. He was told that she was the runt of the litter but she was the one with most personality apparently. I enjoyed several months of happiness with her and she bonded well with my other 3. Yesterday the family noticed...

I'm obsessed with taking pictures of my rabbit! Show me your bunnies too!

It's eyes are not supposed to be blue. Perhaps you are thinking of the BEWs. Blue refers to the colour of the fur.

    Bunny shed ideas

I'm re-emerging from being the on and off lurker because I'm happy welcoming a new bunny (or two) into the household. I haven't kept rabbits in about five years so to say that I'm excited is an understatement. Luckily I have a 5x3ft shed this time around for the rabbit(s). I WISH I could keep a...

    Bunny eating poop! (not cecals)

I believe some rabbits do this from time to time, I doubt it's anything to worry about. Did you ever witness him doing it before? Perhaps he it was accidental and ate it when he was eating cecals, he maybe noticed the hay sticking out of it and decided to take a nibble, maybe he was bored...

    Bald Spot?

Another possibility: stress or anxiety. Or, some rabbits just like to lick things. Do they live together? If so, For how long? What sexes are they both? How big is/are the living area(s)? How much excerise does the rabbit in question get? Did your rabbit have any changes in her diet? Are there...

When did you know that your bunny had bonded with you?

Jen had been on my bed and she licked me for about half an hour then began following me around. Oreo flopped beside me and likewise, followed me :)

    3 buns?

Yeah, maybe you could think about bringing the new rabbit home for a bit to see how it pans out. :) Think ahead: imagine how much more money you'd need to spend on food, hay, housing, vet bills, general health care etc. Hmmm, is Stella a medium sized rabbit? Flemmies are way bigger as you...
