    Potential allergy

Thank you all! I do give him Timothy hay and will check into a different kind. Yes, I have the bedding throughout his cage. The problem with the other kinds of bedding such as towels and rugs is he tears them apart. There are bald spots in our carpet around his cage that gets to when...

    Potential allergy

So, I adopted Twix in September of 2010 and I've been noticing my asthma and allergies are acting up more and more when I clean his cage. I've changed his bedding to that natural recycled cardboard. Is there anything else I can do to help my allergies or will I have to give him up?

    A Pocket Pet Toy Giveaway!

Twix would enjoy this! Better than pulling up the carpet :)

    Pulling up carpet

Thank you for the suggestions! I'm definitely going to try those! First, I'm going to flatten some cardboard boxes and put over the carpet. Then, as soon as possible, I'll swing by Lowe's and see about some of those tubes. I didn't know about the apple cider vinegar. Does that ruin the...

    Pulling up carpet

I've noticed areas where Twix has been, the carpet has been pulled up. I've tried limiting his time out, but that doesn't seem fair. However I don't want to replace the carpet in the whole house, we just don't have the money for that. I've tried switching out his toys more often, even every...

    Passive rabbit became aggressive

Thank you, K! Yes, he seemed to have copped an attitude for whatever reason, but he's calmed down and has stopped the grunting and lunging. He's been eating his veggies, so I'm not concerned that he's not eating at all. I need to get some more hay, I ran out yesterday. But over all he's back...

    Passive rabbit became aggressive

Yep, we're pretty well back to normal, but I may have to get him new food because he's not eating them at all. Was replacing his water bowl with a bottle an ok idea? I know they prefer a bowl but I'm tired of him not drinking and promptly dumping it over. He's even gone so far as to...

    Passive rabbit became aggressive

He did finally let me pick him up yesterday and bring him upstairs. He ate the spinach, lettuce and carrots that we gave him. We cuddled on the couch, with him on my chest, for about an hour and he just chittered away with me rubbing his cheeks and ears :) I'm still going to keep an eye on...

    Passive rabbit became aggressive

Nope, no environmental changes. He's in his pen every day for about 5 hours at night. The problem is his cage is downstairs and surrounded by carpet, he has a habit of pulling up the carpet loops if he finds any lol. I can't trust him. I could bring his cage upstairs and do that in the...

    Passive rabbit became aggressive

I don't think he's spraying. He is fixed, but he's never sprayed me, there's nothing on the wall. What are environmental changes? I don't think I've done anything different, but do you have an example? He has a pen that he gets put in for exercise every day (not since this behavior because...

    Passive rabbit became aggressive

This is new for me. I've had Twix for a year and a half, he's 2 1/2 years old now. These past few days, he's been grunting and lunging at me when I'm reaching in to get his litter box for cleaning, replacing the wet bedding, adding/removing toys, etc. I've done some research online and from what...

    Small feces

That's a good idea! Where would I find Benebac?

    Small feces

Thank you for all the advice. He didn't seem interested in the Romaine lettuce I put in his cage, so we went to the vet on Friday. She told me to cut back on the broccoli and give him more spinach and Romaine. She said his teeth looked good and the X-ray didn't show anything obsure. She's a...

    Small feces

Thank you for that info! I'm going to get some more lettuce and a little kale today. He's definitely drinking water. I'm fillinghis bowlat least twice a day. About how long should I wait before taking him to the vet?

    Small feces

Twix is a 2-year-old Polish male bunny, 3.5 lbs. He's eating his pellets, seems to be eating his hay, loves broccoli, carrots, and other veggies. His personality hasn't changed, he's still active, still plays, chews on his toys, etc. However, a few days ago, I noticed that his feces have...
