    Mealworms in Pellets?

Thanks Pam! Someone suggested I check my cupboards to see whether I have an infestation that came from a box somewhere but thankfully, nope. So I am almost *certain* that it came from the bag of pellets. I also e-mailed the breeder last night and she got back to me, saying she found white...

    Mealworms in Pellets?

Hi Sharon, Thanks for your reply! Moth larvae is also known as waxworms, right? Please correctme if I'm wrong.I'm familiar with both these worms as food for reptiles and I'm quite certain it was a mealworm. I think waxworms are more white in color + thicker while mealworms are thinner and more...

    Mealworms in Pellets?

I recently bought a huge bag of rabbit pellets from a feed store and transferred it into a plastic bag. I left it on the kitchen counter before I had a chance to put it into a big rubbermaid container. That was last night. This morning, I saw a mealworm (baby form of beetle) lying dead in a...

    Bored of Pellets?

So of course as soon as I created this thread, read your replies, and then went to check on him -- he decides that he likes them again :rollseyes He just ate about 1/4 cup and stopped now. Nonetheless, I think it's a good idea to get him a new batch of pellets, just in case. Thanks for the...

    Bored of Pellets?

I refill Dopey's bowls with pellets every night. It used to be that the bowl would be licked clean when I look at it then but for the past week or so, I'm seeing him gradually decrease the amount of pellets he's consuming. In fact, the last time I actually added any in the bowl was 2 nights ago...

    Shedding

I would say he's been shedding for around 4 months now. Some days there's very little and others, the amount is unbelievable. Even though he's been shedding constantly, there are no bald spots/patches. He is on timothy pellets that I get from a feed store. He free roams in my kitchen and the...

    Shedding

I believe I've read numerous times that rabbits shed about 4 times per year. Dopey is a 6lbs Mini Lop and he started shedding about one month after I brought him home.. and it hasn't stopped since. There is fur EVERYWHERE. We can never pet him without having fur stick to our hands afterwards...
