    Need A Supportive Shoulder

Thanks for the quick replies guys, this hasreally been weighing on me as Finn was sort of a spur-of-the-momentacquirement (Moxie didn't pick him out herself). MBB - the forced snuggling that we do in front of the TV seems to workbetter thanplaytime, so I guess I will continue this path,maybe...

    Need A Supportive Shoulder

Hi all, Can't remember if I posted here, but I adopted a little buck justbefore Christmas. He's now about 3.5 months old, vet would like to waituntil 6 months to neuter because he is so small (Holland Lop/?) butgave the go ahead to begin bonding, as my female Moxie is spayed. Theywere caged...

    Death after spaying?

When a bun has surgery it is always stressful -for them and us! But I don't think you should let this keep you from having another little friend. Many shelters adopt out buns who have already been spayed or neutered, perhaps this would be a better option for your state of mind?

    Binkies

Does your bun do this after you'vejustset them down or done something they don't like? Moxie does what I call"foot flicks" which is a similar kicking motion - for her they are thenasty bunny equivalent of "buzz off".

LOL trust me, I had Moxie spayed after Ipurchased her (and all the stress and GI problems that can accompanythe surgery) - my vet is fantastic and I trust her 100% - Shannon Leeof Lynden Veterinary Clinic in Ontario, if anyone is interested. I'llhave her do the boy bun as well. How rare is it to...

    Questions from a first-time bonder

Thanks for the responses. I plan on gettingGeorge neutered if he comes home with me, but since he does not displaycircling/honking behaviours I am hoping that he won't try to hump herduring a brief introduction. I plan on only having them together thatfirst time long enough to gauge whether...

    Timothy Hay cubes

Hi there, Not a whole lot of advice on where to find them since I'm in Canada (uphere we have them in the pet stores) but a word of caution - my Moxie, who loves her hay, will not touch hay cubes with a 10-foot pole! To methey look and smell yummy, but the one time I bought them shecompletely...

Welcome! I didn't know gerbils were illegal in California - that seems strange, what is the reason for that? In addition to my Rex Moxie, I have 2 3y/ogerbil brothers, one black (Pippin) and one blonde (Merry).

How much did everyone here pay to spay/neuter their buns?

Moxie's spay cost $220 Cdn (Hamilton, ON) plusabout $90 for meds incurred due to some post-op complications. Glad itonly has to be done once!
