I'm such a horrible bunny mom

Thanks guys, I think I got the message. No more glue traps!

I'm such a horrible bunny mom

Everybody's right, things like this happen, and the most important thing is that she's okay. But the amount of guilt I feel is incredible. It's gotten easier, but every time I look at her I feel bad. I let her out yesterday when I got home from work. She was extremely hesitant to leave her...

I'm such a horrible bunny mom

Mmm... that sounds so nice: eternal bunny snuggles. :) I would be so happy if she would let me do this forever and ever!

I'm such a horrible bunny mom

I woke up at 1:00 am to the noise of Pancakes unusually thumping around upstairs. She normally sleeps in her cage, and it definitely sounded as if she had gotten out. I went upstairs to check on her and sure enough, she was stuck behind her cage between the cage and some boxes we piled up. I had...

How much does your rabbit(s) like "sweets" ?

We've tried strawberries, bananas, apples and a small thin slice of pineapple and Pancakes won't eat any of it. She LOVES strawberry leaves though. Those should be ok for her to eat, right? I do have to say she loves carrots, especially their green, leafy tops! Perhaps that's sweet enough for her?

    Finally, a picture of Pancakes!

I've been told she's a Chinchilla Rabbit/Creme D'Argent mix. I've also been told that this is as big as she's going to get. She currently weighs almost 5 lbs.

    Finally, a picture of Pancakes!

Thanks for all the kind words! I feel like posting a gazillion pictures of her but I'm sure there's a separate place for that, just haven't found it yet. :)

    Pancakes' First Vet Visit

Pancakes went to the vet today for her first general exam. It's confirmed: she's a girl! I know, I probably could've verified myself, butI'm reallynot comfortable picking her up, let alone flipping her onto her back. I've been making a great effort everyday to pet her, be close to her when she...

    Rabbit running circle

Just wanted to update everybody. Pancakes has a vet appointment tomorrow for an exam. At that time they'll determine her breed (no more guessing!) and approximate age, and if she needs to be spayed yet. The vet quoted me about $430-470 for the entire procedure. :expressionless *Gulp*

    Rabbit running circle

Thanks for the replies everybody! When I first got her (as a gift) I had posted in another thread asking if anybody had any idea what kind of bunny she might be. Most everybody that replied said they were convinced she was a New Zealand mix. I'll take some new pictures of her now that she's...

    Rabbit running circle

My rabbit has begun running circle around me. I'd say she's 6 or 7 months now? I also read somewhere that only male rabbits do this when they're sexually mature. So, does this mean I have a male rabbit instead of a female rabbit? I haven't been able to find a vet close to where I live that...

    Bunny breed help?

Thanks to everyone for their input so far! ZRabbits - Thanks, she sure is sweet. She's young and very curious which sometimes gets her into trouble, but she's still sweet nonetheless. :) Blaze_Amita - I Google'd New Zealand rabbits and I agree, she looks like one. Do you have any sort of...

    Bunny breed help?

Thanks for your input, wendymac. We think she weighs about 3-4 lbs. I've been thinking about trying to weigh her on this mail scale I have, but of course, she doesn't stay still!
