Please replythis photo I found of the internet my rabbit Lucas has this on All his “toes” but red View attachment 49530
Is it the pad of his toes that you can see or just a line on the nail? What kind of flooring does he live in? Is this marking on every toe of every foot? How long have you had your rabbit and how long have you noticed the issue? The answers to these questions may help us figure out what is going on
I meant no rudeness if you took it that way thank you for answering I apreciate it
Hi. This is just a community of people, randomly getting online and chatting with other pet rabbit owners, we are not specialists not vets and we don't get paid for helping each other, we do it in our own free time if we feel like helping and we know the answers. Also sometimes we like to get some sleep and we are in many different time zones so not all in Texas.Well I guess y’all are are asleep
No reply? Are you asleep there?View attachment 49531It’s the whatever part that Is it’s on every toe He lives on wire flooring I’m going to switch his cage to a larger No wiring cage but currently he has a towel that’s there covering 85% of the bottom
Well I guess y’all are are asleep
I was also just joking I thought if you were joking you might like it!@Zupa
As I said before I meant no disrespect (now I see that I would not appreciate it if someone hijacked my thread) but that’s not a reason be rude (you might have not meant it that way but your wording and emoji kind of suggested it). When I said I did not mean for people to take it rudely just a joke (although I guess it turned out that way)
Also I don’t want to have a fight that would just be silly
I hope every one has a good day (and hope we can put it behind us)
Sure I just changed his cage to the larger one with no wiring (there is a drip bottle in there I actually have a large bowl coming so I can replace itI was also just joking I thought if you were joking you might like it!
Can you post some real photo of your problem and his setup, and why is he living on wire?
I have same ball my rabbits like itI also have some toys for him coming tommorow (so that’s why it looks a little drab)
Hopping off what Apollo said, you could expand his area by attaching a play pen so the cage is just a home base... That.s typically how I treat their cage, I never close the door with them inside unless we're about head out on the road in the morning so I don't have to con them into the cage if we get an early startHe looks like a rex rabbit which are prone to sore hocks and feet problems. It would be best if we could see the actually part of his foot, not the image on google. When in doubt, you should call your vet. Warning though before someone else says this: your rabbit set-up doesn’t look very good. The cages and hutches that pet stores sell, are way too small for rabbits, no matter what age or size. These cages are often acceptably used for rabbits that just came out of surgery or are injured but never for permanent or long-term use. But I assume you’ve not owned rabbits for long? This forum is very helpful, but as Zuppa said, we’re all people and rabbit owners, not specialists or vets, and we don’t all live in the United States, I live in London for example. I’m 13 too by the way ☺
