Zeus' second Gotcha Anniversary

It seems so hard to believe that it has been TWO years since we added Zeus to our lives. Many of you may remember how I kept going back and forth about getting him because the grief over losing Tiny was still so fresh. I think if it wasn't for JimD and Bo B Bunny - I wouldn't have had the follow-through to go ahead and get him. Thanks to Ivory for delivering him to Beaumont, TX and Zin (GoinBacktoCali) for meeting us and taking some photos.

August 2009 - the day we got Nyx - talking w/ Dave & Karen at their hotel room

(They now hate each other)

and his appointment at the vet earlier that day..

As most of you know - Zeus is now our bedroom bunny and is free-roam in there and sleeps with us at night and if we take naps, etc.

In his honor, a $50 donation is going to Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue (where we got him) plus another matching donation at the end of this month.

Zeus is worth a lot more than that to me - but we wanted his celebration to help out other bunnies.

He will be hopefully getting some playtime outside today if it warms up - plus a few craisins in his salad and some apple and banana too (he doesn't usually have them together).

I just have to add that I feel extremely fortunate that although I wasn't breeding at that time (but had before) - Magic Happens was willing to work with me and let me have him.

I am hoping that maybe there will be someone reading this thread - who maybe is thinking about adding another bunny - that will consider going to a rescue.

I've often updated Magic Happens about Zeus- frequently with a $$ contribution from him also. They are wonderful - they love the updates...and the money.

He is so handsome!!! I still remember the debate you hadabout getting him because he was so far away even though you knew he had to be the one. We are all so glad Zeus was able to make a wonderful home with you.

I know someday I will need to have a big white bunny in my life because of your Zeus and Naturestee's Oberon. Who wouldn't want a big white squishy bunny?!!!
