Labyrinth and the Breakfast Club are some of my favourites too!!

Mine would be:

Lolita (1998) - most beautiful film I've ever seen, based on my favourite book
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/KZ0LeNBUl24[/flash]

Back to the Future -just fun, and interesting. My favourite line from any film ever 'You better back up Doc I don't think we've got enough road!' 'Roads? Where we're going... we don't need roads!'
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/yosuvf7Unmg[/flash]

Edward Scissorhands - really beautiful and sad film, so strange too
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/jWFa8zfWfeA[/flash]

Donnie Darko - excellent excellent excellent piece of cinema. Possibly the greatest film of the 21st century
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/8wqVHjK2bQs[/flash]

Footloose - another fun film. The end of this I always have to rewind and watch a few more times, then get up and dance! I learnt the dance with my friends and we do it at parties!
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/FaaYU-lZ3ac[/flash]

The Breakfast Club - great different film. The dance scene in this is so funny
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/vdkX8J-FKndE[/flash]

Dirty Dancing - I think every girl has to see this film at least once! N.B Lift in dance sequence is not as easy as it looks, but you all probably know that already (I'm sure you've all tried in the pool on holiday!)
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/GCwgwO5fA00[/flash]

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl - my and my friend once sat dressed in full pirate costumes, covered by a large pirate flag and watched this. I know all the words!
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/G7z74BvLWUg[/flash]

Happy Feet - penguins dancing to Earth, Wind and Fire, and singing Elvis and Prince, what more is there to love?
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/MAIpBSKJWXM[/flash]

Labyrinth - David Bowie is yummy
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/WT_xpFZe20A[/flash]

The Little Mermaid - my favourite film as a child.
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/h0BQxhSwrtQ[/flash]

Lolita (1962) - tamed down version of my favourite book and film. Kubrick too which is always a treat
[flash=320,256]http://www.youtube.com/v/AHSUYVrvyCg[/flash]

I know I'm missing a movie here, but these are just the ones off the top of my head or that I've recently watched/rewatched that I really really enjoyed.

I can't really list them in order because it depends upon my mood when I want to see a movie..

The American President

Love the lists :).

Some movies I say NO!!!!!!!!! Like the new pride and prejudice. I've seen the BBC P&P miniseries literally over 20 times, so the movie version royally sucked for me.

And some movies I say oh yah! Yes!! Like Dirty Dancing and National Lampoons Christmas vacation and Gremlins.

Some movies I just say "huh"? Like Across the Universe and PS I love you.

To each his own. ;)

Ok here's my list:

Godfather I & II
Jaws
Gone With The Wind
Angels With Dirty Faces
The Public Enemy
Casablanca
Saving Private Ryan
Driving Miss Daisy
Gladiator
300
E.T.
Finding Nemo
Scent of A Woman
Alien & Aliens
Predator & II
Schindler's List
Raider's of The Lost Ark
Twlight
just to mention a few

I don't think I can name twenty, but I'll try to think of as many as I can. They're in no particular order besides the first four-ish, they'll always be my favourites! They're also mostly kids' movies, because kids movies were awesome when I was growing up.

1. The Last Unicorn
2. The Dark Crystal
3. The Labyrinth
4. The Never Ending Story
5. 101 Dalmations
6. The Little Mermaid
7. Little Nemo (Not Finding Nemo! They're different movies, not that anyone knows what I'm talking about)
8. The Lion King (I used to sneak into other theaters as a kid to watch it several different times--though most of the time we went to drive-in theaters so it was easy to sneak over to different areas)
9. Cloverfield
10. Star Wars trilogy
11. Land Before Time (the first one!)
12. Disney's Tarzan
13. Disney's Beauty and the Beast
14. Pan's Labyrinth
15. Ladyhawke
16. Willow
17. Legend
18. The Princess Bride
19. Secrets of Nimh

And yes, I did look up movies from the 80s towards the end to remember some of their names. Why was the 80s so great for movies?

little nemo is one of my favs! i completely forgot about that one! i still (at 22) put this movie in when i can't sleep. how can you not love a movie about slumberland.

and legend! i think they used the world's supply of glitter in that movie. everyone should watch legend to see the glory of it all. its so bad its good. i actually watched this movie the other night. lol

I forgot allll about the glitter so I had to watch it again! No sooner had I put it in did I see what you mean! I can only imagine the mess they had after every single scene. I do love it and all of its terribleness. For such a nice-looking movie, it failed quite badly with the whole storyline. It's one of those movies you have to watch over again from time-to-time just to see how bad it was. I love it.

I can't watch Little Nemo anymore. :( I have it on VHS from when I was little and can never find a DVD. It's all engraved into my brain though, I watched that movie over and over and over again.
