What are your favorite Christmas cookie recipes. Any family favorites?

I'm only making a few things this year as I'm not much of a sweets person but I wanted a few of my favorites for when company comes. So I made some Shortbread with crushed up candy cane on the top and Butter tarts. I made 40 Butter tarts and 36 shortbread and about 1/3 of its gone already! I had to hide the rest or there won't be any left for company.

I think i'm also going to make some ginger snaps as I like them better then gingerbread. Crispy chewy goodness! I just need to get some molasses.

So what are you making? any recipes you want to share?

Christmas biscuits aren't really a popular thing in Ireland, but I really want a good recipe for this year :)

Degrassi, please share the Butter Tart recipe! And Gumby, that is the chocolate chip cookie recipe I used for years. I tried so many recipes and that was the closest I could get to perfection. Heck, I even reviewed that recipe. You can look for my review if you want, my username is The Bunny Chef and Tallulah is my profile picture :D Anyway, my husband's family has THE BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe. It's really amazing, better than any other I've had or tried. I can share it if you guys want!

These are the Christmas treats I made this year:

Buckeyes (we call them Peanut Butter Truffles): http://www.food.com/recipe/Best-Buckeyes-Peanut-Butter-and-Chocolate-Candies-26555 (I use 1 t vanilla extract and slightly less powdered sugar)
Oreo Truffles: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Easy-OREO-Truffles/Detail.aspx
Marshmallow Wreaths: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Christmas-Cornflake-Wreath-Cookies/Detail.aspx (I use Frosted Flakes and M&Ms, and they end up a lot brighter than the ugly picture)
Caramel Chocolate Cookies: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Caramel-Filled-Chocolate-Cookies-2/Detail.aspx

the Peanut Butter Truffles and Marshmallow Wreaths are tradition (okay only a couple year old tradition, but tradition needs to start sometime!) and the Oreo Truffles and Caramel Chocolate Cookies are new this year, but I will definitely be making the Caramel Chocolate Cookies again because they're amazing. I made rolled sugar cookies too but used a mix because I haven't found a recipe I like :D And I made a bunch of these to give to Paul's coworkers: http://www.southernplate.com/2009/12/holly-jollies-christmas-candy-on-a-budget-in-a-hurry.html
