I'm so glad he's feeling better! Gas attacks can be very scary, but like Patti said they often resolve quickly once you give gas meds. The mucous on the fecals is most likely from intestinal irritation, possibly because of whatever initiated the gas attack.

Glad to hear the worst has passed. Nothing like some gas meds and exercise to get the gut moving.
